25/07/2011 FACE OF BALAKLAVA CUP ANNOUNCED

Thoroughbred racing is a sport full of traditions and one of the most highly anticipated traditions of country racing is the announcement of the Face of Balaklava Cup.

This year’s ambassadorial duties have been awarded to Sophie Holland-Smith, 18, of Millswood, who will be performing her first official duty on Friday 22 July 2011 at the Balaklava Cup Media Launch luncheon at the Lakes Resort.

IN what is being touted as the biggest feat in the history of the Balaklava Racing Club, infamous bookmaker Robbie Waterhouse will be fielding at this year’s Balaklava Cup, on Wednesday, August 31.
