About Us
The Balaklava Racing Club was founded in 1903, with the first race meeting being held the following year in 1904.
In 1907 the grandstand was constructed and is still in use to this day.
The Club holds 12 TAB race meetings per year and holds the all industry records for attendance, betting turnover and stake money with the running of the Balaklava Cup.
The club has won six SA Great awards and we are proud to have our Cup event inducted into the SA Great Hall of Fame, now known as Advantage SA Telstra Hall of Fame.
