The Balaklava Racing Club was founded in 1903 and in 2008 it is the most successful country racing club in South Australia.

The Balaklava Cup is the premier country race meeting, holding all industry records for attendance, betting turnover and stakemoney.

This is a truly amazing event where more than 12,000 people “take the day off” on a Wednesday in September and travel to the little town of Balaklava 100kms north of Adelaide for a day of fun, food, fashion, wine and great racing.

People enjoy the day in whatever fashion - enjoying our many public bars and food facilities to five-star dining in the lavish Corporate Marquees.
